They fit into tighter spaces than our hinged doors because their panels don't interfere with your room or patio.
Hinged patio doors make a dramatic statement and add great ventilation. Their contemporary or traditional styling options fit well with any home's style.
Frame Options
The Andersen Architectural E-Series collection offers extensive customization for exterior patio doors, allowing for a high degree of architectural flexibility through a variety of frame materials and finishes. These doors are engineered with a durable, low-maintenance aluminum exterior cladding designed to protect the integrity of the frame against the elements while providing a sleek, professional appearance.
One of the defining features of the E-Series frame system is the breadth of color options available. The exterior aluminum cladding is finished with a high-performance powder coat that meets AAMA 2604 or 2605 standards. This provides customers with the choice of over 50 standard exterior colors. For projects requiring a specific aesthetic, Andersen offers custom color matching, allowing the frame to be color-coordinated with other design elements of the building.
The interior of the E-Series frame is constructed from high-quality wood, providing a warm, natural aesthetic that can be tailored to match interior woodwork. The available interior wood species include Pine, Oak, Maple, Cherry, Douglas Fir, Mahogany, Alder, Hickory, and Walnut. To ensure the interior frame remains protected and aesthetically pleasing, these wood options are available unfinished or can be pre-finished by Andersen in a variety of stains or paints.
The frame design is optimized for the Architectural E-Series line of patio doors, which includes side-hinged/French styles as well as sliding and gliding configurations. These frames are designed for structural durability and are capable of supporting large expanses of glass, making them suitable for custom architectural applications where both performance and aesthetic versatility are required.
